Eternal yet Unfinished Short Story

The hairytale!

Our story begins when price of a haircut was Rs 15/- at colony's barber shop. It was the time when a 5 rupee note was worth a Pepsi bottle and drinking Pepsi was like a treat in itself! During those times, once, there use to be a small boy! He was shy and simple and obedient but dreamy most of the times. He was a follower. Follower of instructions, rituals, orders,of gods.

The only unique thing about this boy was his hair , to be exact his haircut. His dad use to accompany him to barber's shop for couple of years and used to instruct barber to cut hair in "that " particular fashion ."that" fashion was unique in his school,he was the only one with "that " fashion. Kids never noticed. PT teacher always noticed him for "that" fashion and appreciated it . Other teachers sometimes noticed him. But boy knew "that" fashion was unique.

As time passed ,he passed classes he grew old but his haircut remained the same. Pants faded, new pants came. Jeans came & shorts expired. From T-shirts to shirts. But the barber remained the same. Same cut. Same time. But only difference was boy started seeing him-self in the mirror. Once he asked the barber to change the style. Barber did change the hairstyle, but with a smirk on his face. Boy went home and he was laughed at , he felt embarrassed. He could not gather courage to sport his new haircut to school, so he went back to barber and asked to change hairstyle back to what he thought was original. All the time thinking "they must be correct, They are elders, they must be correct".

Time went by. School was replaced by College. Home was replaced by Hostel. Parents were replaced by professors and seniors, if one realized. Friends, new friends were present. Classes were meant to sleep,to bunk. Suddenly the boy realized his hair has to grow. It was inevitable. For next four years his hair just grew with no specific plan or specific style. He smoked, smoked-up, drank, saw, read, read and read. He was a rebel.

Time still went by. College was replaced by Office,Hostel was replaced by rented apartment, professors and seniors were replaced by managers and team leads. Parents came back.Friends ,older friends and best friends existed. Boy planned to have a haircut of his own in a specific style. He worked and planned.Earned money and traveled.

Time is still going by. Now price of a haircut is Rs 50/- and he is still figuring out his haircut. Its been several years since he decided to have his own haircut, and since then he has narrowed down on his options by knowing what he doesn't want, but he is yet to decide what he wants. His experiments with his hair are on!

Nice one !!!
We change our hair style with the change in Clothing and its Accessory

CHANGE IS OBVIOUS

However we only change the one we don't like...and this will go on as being a human we can never be satisfied with one single entity

This seems similar to finding the right girl in life. you know what you do not want, but not what you want!

This post is about how our perspectives change as we grow up. To be more specific as time passes how perspectives change.

In our initial years we are what we are told to be.. i.e we are conditioned..

As time passess by Mind grows or to say it finds different perspectives as we meet more people as we read.. through experience it just grows..

As time passess by we start adopting some perspectives which we think suit us and keeps our concience clear.. but it takes time .. as we try things .. we experiment..
