Perception about intelligence!

A: After seeing the situation from the day I gained consiousness ,I think problem with the system is that the people, on top, are corroupt. We should be responsible for selecting such idiots.
We need a reform for the selection criterion!

B: You know, I think what you are saying is correct! Frank Herbert said in dune - "Good government never depends upon laws, but upon the personal qualities of those who govern. The machinery of government is always subordinate to the will of those who administer that machinery. The most important element of government, therefore, is the method of choosing leaders"

Who is more convincing? A or B? for that matter is Frank Herbert?

Arundhati Roy? who? what? why?

Once a writer with potential to become one of the great Indian novelists, but now an activist championing the right causes but from the side on which majority is not. There may be some truth in what she says, may be some sense in what she says, maybe she makes up her mind before doing her research on the subject, and maybe she just sees one side, of the poor victims of the state and politics.

My aim is not to judge her, as so many others are already doing that, but to find something useful in her. Though my personal prejudiced opinion on her actions is that she is politically naïve, she loses the sight of the issue and moreover just focuses on problems and makes hoopla about them without proposing any solution. In my humble opinion she should advocate the cause for the victims (Naxalites and Kashmiri people) but all the while maintaining the patriotism. In strict philosophical sense I don’t believe in state nations but as for the pragmatic philosophy I do. The state nations concept does brings about a bit of order for most of the people, though at some expense.

AR (Arundhati Roy) born in Meghalaya, her blood, a mixture of a Keralite & a Bengali, her early years are produce of hammering against the anvil of Syrian Christian dogmatism and of the aegis of her independent, eccentric mother! Her adolescence years spent in struggle to establish herself! As a grown up struggled to find a place in world at large! From 30s a vocal critic of social inequality and morality! Since “God of all things” she is a critic of governments & corporations, and a flag bearer of the victims.

I think that AR focuses only on one aspect of the problem, which she doesn’t understand or should I say she can’t define. She just focuses on the victims rather than on the solutions! She is not different from the mass public, who are as gullible as she is. She is just the mass public personified. She doesn’t have the sense of Nationalism as most of the general public, for whom the main concern is not that India will get nuclear power or not, but concern is whether they’ll get food today or not .

AR is like a “mass public” with awesome literary prowess, so that few people will hear them! She is a brilliant writer who can stir great thoughts but those thoughts can’t be put into action! She can write good poignant arguments to tackle “power” but at the expense of generating more poignant stories, of people who are little more privileged then whom AR supports! E.g. shutting down big corporations! Its sounds great to hear! Yeah these big machines are generating just profits at the expense of other poorer and powerless nations, but shutting them down is not the correct solution. Solution lies in making them accountable and responsible!

When she supports the separatist movements I feel that she is as gullible as another common man! She doesn’t see the big picture that separation can never be a solution to Kashmir! She says that people are fighting for their right to live a dignified life, I totally agree with her! But who says that separation will resolve the situation! It never has and it never will. Because the problem is not with the idea of “separation”, but it’s with the people with hidden motives who preach these ideas, Problem is not with the idea of corporations, but it’s with few people who hold the profits, problem is not with the idea of nation state, but it’s with people who manage these nation states.

Idea with which I agree on with her is the idea of “Non violence” doesn’t work in today’s world, where nations wait till most of the people lose their lives or run out of patience. But then it doesn’t mean that people pick up arms and start killing! Because to get heard you kill people who are just like you! And any ways you are not getting to the root of the problem, which I mentioned in last paragraph.

Issue is that there is no quick fix solution to these “problems”. A solution to these problems has to be a long term one. It should involve people who understand the problem and who understand the concept of nation state. It should have a stink of the collective frustration to bring about a change by people who can bring the change!

It should impact the root of the problem (Few individuals who take advantage of the system at common man’s expense) by impacting the conscience of the people who understand the concept of nation state.

I don’t agree with Arundhati Roy for whatever she says! But I do thank her for impacting my conscience for once!

Life : search!

Life is like searching for something* on a browser!

All our life we keep searching for something! some search ways to earn better! some search for grandeur! some for peace! some search their life's love! and some search ways to out prove everybody else and then there are some who are content and don't search. But majority of us are searching for something!

But problem with all kinds of search is you have to be very specific in what you want to search! Other wise the browser will throw thousands of search results in fraction of secs ( may be few days or few months or few years in case of life) . Then you'll have to go through all of them, search results, but what most of us do is pick some result at random, after looking at it and deciding!

After you picked up a result, of your choice, you go through it for some time and you feel "no this is not exactly what I am searching for"! and you realize the "thing" you are searching for is elusive to you!

Then you have two options - 1) Be content and use that result in the best possible way or 2) Try again your search with a modification in query.

If you choose 1st option! good! carry on with life! ( They know the truth! :P )
Its the 2nd option that differentiates a smart and intelligent man from an average man! The smart man now knows what things are critical! and with just one or two searches more he is bang on!
But a average man will take long time to decide on what specifics to search for!

*In a lifetime we search for multiple things ,which mota-moti** depends on where did you start in Maslow's hierarchy of needs!

Ideas that could work!

1) a fund established by the Indian people, for the Indian people to empower the Indian common man against corruption.
Idea is to reward any journalist or a citizen who can expose the authority's corrupt activities. And based on the "proof" obtained get the authority convicted.
Rules can be formulated based on the rank of the exposed Authority, in the hierarchy of power in India, such that higher the rank higher is the reward. Money for the reward is donated by the people! How much should be the reward is also decided by the people.

2) Using facebook as a marketing tool, to showcase talent .
Idea is to create various profiles to showcase the works of talented people. The more "likes" they get the more money they'll make or they'll get scholarships to bolster their careers or it can be any other form of recognition which is practical and useful for the talented candidate . Rules can be formed to regulate this process in much more transparent and effective manner.

Theory of Ideas!!

Idea!

Lately I have been wondering about where do the ideas/thoughts come from! though I know whatever I think I can't be sure of it ! :p

1) Many a times it so happens that what we think as "our idea" , upon researching we find that someone has already "thought" about it earlier . So how can we be sure that the ideas that we are having are ours in the first place?

2) Newton had an idea/theory about gravity! Einstein came and changed the ways we think about it.An idea can be true for a generation but maynot be true for all generations! Are ideas relative?

3) Most Ideas are tweaked versions of earlier ideas! First person who thought of "currency" was he "original thinker". My contention is he was not the first one who was grappling with the problems arising in barter system as size of the society was increasing! He was not the first one who was grappling with the problem of defining the worth of a commodity or service.

5) What gives us ideas in most of the situations is a "Goal" , a "purpose". Then its just the matter of persistance with that goal with that purpose and you'll get the so called ideas. It reminds me of the mythological tree "kalpvraksh" which my mum used to tell me about when I was a kid.
The similarity, between the kalpvraksh and the ideas, that we get after persisting with the goal, is you get what you want! Though in our case,of ideas, result is not instantaneous! But then I am not sure if mum ever told me that if it was instantaneous in Kalvraksh's case either.

Inception!

Ideas,Perceptions and Faith!
Nope it should be -- Ideas,Perception and Belief!
(my opinion: "Faith" does not belong to this category as it has a bit of religious tone to it.)

Inception as a movie is good! I liked all the slow motion shots! reminded me of scenes from recent film "The Hurt Locker" and many more other older movies. I liked all the exotic locations , the action sequences , the pace of the movie ,the emotions ( DiCaprio trying to hold on to few of the cherished & not so cherished memories) that run through it, the paradoxes to make movie appear geeky ( Perpetually ascending staircase),the idea of layering which made it geeky , but not the idea behind the movie. Though the idea did remind of Richard Linklater's Movie "Waking life"!

What gives a idea its form?
A idea is born out of a goal or a purpose. Given a Goal or a purpose you can have flurry of Ideas , good or bad, to fulfill that goal or purpose. Goodness or Badness of the idea is the perception part of it. So to say if you want to plant a idea into some ones head first you need to plant the goal in the head. Which DiCaprio et. al. do by giving Cillian Murphy a goal i.e. to do better than his father on his own.

Goal?
But in my opinion its just not about the idea always. Whats going to bake our noodle is the goal and how badly we need to achieve it. When I say "how badly we need to achieve it" I don't mean "desperation". Rather add a tinge of detachment to the need i.e the attitude of "devil may care". Because the "desperation" exhibits the desire in us and which screws the main purpose or goal or in plain simple words we digress from the goal.

Perceptions ( e.g. good or bad, slow or fast )?

The way we perceive depends allot on the Goal or the Purpose we have, and the conditioning which we have gone through. Without these two elements perception is an abstract term for which we dont know the meaning

Belief

To quote few platitudes " believe in urself", " know thyself" No idea! :P still working on it! :)

It has to be just plain Belief!

Eternal yet Unfinished Short Story

The hairytale!

Our story begins when price of a haircut was Rs 15/- at colony's barber shop. It was the time when a 5 rupee note was worth a Pepsi bottle and drinking Pepsi was like a treat in itself! During those times, once, there use to be a small boy! He was shy and simple and obedient but dreamy most of the times. He was a follower. Follower of instructions, rituals, orders,of gods.

The only unique thing about this boy was his hair , to be exact his haircut. His dad use to accompany him to barber's shop for couple of years and used to instruct barber to cut hair in "that " particular fashion ."that" fashion was unique in his school,he was the only one with "that " fashion. Kids never noticed. PT teacher always noticed him for "that" fashion and appreciated it . Other teachers sometimes noticed him. But boy knew "that" fashion was unique.

As time passed ,he passed classes he grew old but his haircut remained the same. Pants faded, new pants came. Jeans came & shorts expired. From T-shirts to shirts. But the barber remained the same. Same cut. Same time. But only difference was boy started seeing him-self in the mirror. Once he asked the barber to change the style. Barber did change the hairstyle, but with a smirk on his face. Boy went home and he was laughed at , he felt embarrassed. He could not gather courage to sport his new haircut to school, so he went back to barber and asked to change hairstyle back to what he thought was original. All the time thinking "they must be correct, They are elders, they must be correct".

Time went by. School was replaced by College. Home was replaced by Hostel. Parents were replaced by professors and seniors, if one realized. Friends, new friends were present. Classes were meant to sleep,to bunk. Suddenly the boy realized his hair has to grow. It was inevitable. For next four years his hair just grew with no specific plan or specific style. He smoked, smoked-up, drank, saw, read, read and read. He was a rebel.

Time still went by. College was replaced by Office,Hostel was replaced by rented apartment, professors and seniors were replaced by managers and team leads. Parents came back.Friends ,older friends and best friends existed. Boy planned to have a haircut of his own in a specific style. He worked and planned.Earned money and traveled.

Time is still going by. Now price of a haircut is Rs 50/- and he is still figuring out his haircut. Its been several years since he decided to have his own haircut, and since then he has narrowed down on his options by knowing what he doesn't want, but he is yet to decide what he wants. His experiments with his hair are on!

Just an observation!

Humans are champions at & most complex wrt to communicating feelings!! It simply amazes me that there are so many ways we communicate the same feeling!

Sometimes we talk and sometimes we dont!
Sometimes we are silent and sometimes we shout out loud!
Sometimes we say no when we mean yes!
Sometimes we say yes when we mean no!
At other times we write satires and at times we write dramas!
We write we alter we erase!
We cry in times of joy and we stand silent in times of sorrow!

We are a perfect world made of imperfections!

D Traveller : Gurgaon!

Gurgaon : Land of Dust,Rikshaw, heat and concrete!

I use to relate to the specific lines from the Metallica's song " Wherever I may roam" which goes like

Anywhere I roam
where I lay my head is home
And the earth becomes my throne
I adapt to the unknown
Under wandering stars I have grown
by myself but not alone
I ask no one!
But then I shifted to Gurgaon and I realized it was Bangalore which made every thing easy and I loved being a wanderer! Till date the sojourn in Gurgaon has been eventful, dusty and overheated!

As I landed in Gurgaon the first thing I noticed was Rickshaw! and my reaction was " How on this freaking earth these guys do it( in this heat)" But then very moment I got the answer -- with a bottle full of water and a cloth to cover their head! It was then I decided never to bargain with Rickshaw wala it was then I realized the value Rs 30.

Next I had to deal with a auto wala as I could not ask a rikshaw wala to carry all my luggage for just Rs 30!! The case of autowallas is different .This species, autowallas, pertaining to public transport, is real arse! They behave as if they own the city! They charge what ever they like.. and after meeting these Gurgaon autowallas I lost value of Rs 50. As at times I value comfort more than money!

Gurgaon is like concrete jungle! with good big roads and hot air! To survive here without a vehicle requires talent , patience and planning! It has lot of good places to go to! when I say good places I am ofcourse talking about pubs and restaurants! as this is the land of people with lots & lots of money if not with infinite money!

Another unusual thing is size of Paranthas is unusally large! when you order them for the first time you are bound to make the mistake of ordering more than your apetite! But they are delicious!

Now I am like --
And my ties are severed clean
less I have more I gain
Off the beaten path I reign!
Roamer, wanderer,
Nomad,Vagabond
call me what you will
But i'll take my time anywhere
I'm free to speak my mind anywhere
I'll never mind anywhere
Anywhere I roam
Where I lay my head is home!
Gurgaon is home! Just need a car!a house! a AC! a lil referigerator! a TV! and a rack for books!

Junoon

Definitely a dream..

I am an unemotional human being, I don't feel sorrow or happiness. Or may be I do feel but, I don't realize that I do feel..

Trip is going to start from boarding bus from departure point to destination point, at 7:40 AM. I am all panicky as I am running from one station to other, to reach departure point. I don't know the routes ( from station to the departure point), I don't know if I can make it today , I don't know if I have time as I have flight to catch in evening, I know just one thing that is-- I need to meet and I need to meet today.. thats all! however, whichever, whatever ! Just need to meet!

I catch the bus at 7:40 AM and bus leaves at 8:00 AM. I am counting every minute till and when my bus will reach the destination. Driver said it takes around 4.5 hrs to reach. I do the math and realize I'll reach by 8 + 5 = 1:00 PM and I have flight to catch at 8:00 PM so I have to be back by 7:00 PM at the least and that means I'll have to leave by 2:00PM from destination.. Now thats how I plan..it seems like a decent plan!

So I am sitting half dreaming, half awake, half thinking, half planning, half scared , and the other half just waiting in anticipation, of the moment when I meet..

It is the half dreaming state that I can write this.. it is the half thinking state which is keeping me awake.. it is the half planning state which is making me think.. it is the fear that propelles me to think.. it is the thought, which I think I'll loose, which scares me.. and it is the Wait! It is about the Wait!!! Till date only few times I have waited so truly eagerly desperately madly.

Its been 4 hrs now.. destination is and has been in earshot distance from quite some time.. now its time that it is going to be in eyesight!

I got down at destination.. I run to book my tickets for the departure point .. as last bus leaves at 1:10 PM.. and its 12:40 PM. 10 mins from 12:40 PM to 12:50 PM were the longest!!

Finally I see her!! I kept seeing her.. this time I got the smile back!! I am recognized!
This time I stared right into the eyes and I was stared at, from corner of her eyes!

Those were the best 20 mins of my life!! Sitting on a bus station!!

Kuch kehna tha!!
Kuch sunana tha!!

I am sitting in bus and going back.. I feel pain.. not physical but kinda weird .. it is of the kind which originates from you being restless..from the wants! from the sheer helplessness! from the realization! from ...

Now I wait to see you once again..
Now I wait to feel your laugh..
Now I wait to hear silence..

I have fallen for you!
I KKnow it will be like This always! I do.

Road, मूवी

Its refreshing to see a movie which breaks all the stereotypes and creates and shows, a different world ( different from mainstream Bollywood movies). As the movie starts you can actually feel the pain as if you are the one trying to sell Aatma Tel. And as the movie ends you feel what? too soon man! what happened? its absurd!

But now when I think of it the movie did inspire me to look at life in general and correlate between the two ( the movie and the life :p).

- Movie has a absurd ending, Life definitely has a absurd ending what I mean is-- what is it all about the car, house, pay, hike, promotion, money etc and what you get after getting all that is Death! what a absurd yet fantastic end!

- Protagonist is out on a journey towards something, but he is all unawares of what all will befell him on the way . Like the situation where Deol find himself stuck on the road with 2 strangers, who ate his food, and his decision to run away leaving them stranded in the desert . Again let me get philosophical, in life you have a hazy idea of what you want but the situations that arise at times are totally absurd and those situations make you realize what you actually want and what you actually are.

- At times you gotta do what you don't want to. At other times the things, which you don't want to do but still do, help you out when you least expect them to. Like when Deol's Aatma Tel comes to his rescue when Deol et. al. are stuck with water dacoits. In life perceptions that you create about yourself and people create about you do matter. The above mentioned scene was the "best" example of the "best" marketing ( its all about creating a perception)! And as I am a guy associated with marketing for last 2 years all I have to say is " that was absurdly fantastic idea". Kudos to the script writer.

- Deol is god.He is -- I guess what Om Puri or Nasserudin Shah were for our dads' age, I mean with respect to the ability to demarcate oneself from the mainstream cinema.

- Remix of "Sar jo tera chakraye" was awesome! Nice song!

- Deol's movies get us in touch with stark realities!

You meet some.. you travel with some.. you leave some.. you have fun with some.. you help some..
in the end its just about --

"you gotta do what you gotta do!" -- no questions asked no answers given!

D Traveller : Ayela!

A Trip of excesses!!

It was a trip to remember ( as all trips are :p)! Trip for connecting with old friends! Trip to trip on Hukkas,Shakes & Cold Coffees! Trip to binge! It was a trip of excesses!

Trip started with me flying to Mumbai!.. I had just a couple of days with me,and I had scores of friends to meet in Mumbai! The dilemma I had was whom, school friends or the college friends, to meet! As always I decided lets go and then plan! Now the only problem with this plan is- on execution you tend to leave out many important details. And guess what? thats what happened.

I just met 3 of my school friends. But hell ya we had galla of a time! The good part of the trip was we knew that all of us drink (or at least they knew I drink :p, the deal is that you are meeting your school friend with whom you haven't talked in ages) but we have never ever had a drink together. Now I believe that fun factor of drinking lies somewhere there.. like drinking with old friends! or with whom you drank 2 years ago! or with whom you drank in college with!

Trip was more than just about drinks! We checked out Cafe Leopold (which I have been planning to do since I read Shantaram). Their Burger ,Sandwich and Lolly pops were just amazing. What I liked about the place was the continuous chattering noise! the crowd! and the busy yet lazy attitude of the place. Other than this I liked the way they serve peanuts in small plastic cups.
We also checked out Cafe Mondegar and its famous cheese balls, though they were not that great!

Before checking out the eating places and toasting each other's drinking abilities, and capacities we also saw the absurd, weird and interesting photo exhibition, of some French photographer, and the Nariman point.

Sorry about it but the chronology of the trip has been excused few passages earlier.
So coming back to the point that I landed in Mumbai and went straight to my friends house who lives in Vile Parle, where Parle g's biscuit factory is. After reaching and catching up with my childhood friend, whom i haven't met in about 7 years (I have met him in those 7 years but not met Met him . You know what I mean, of course you do) we had awesome lunch.

Then we set out for shopping ! Mumbai is cheap if you know where to shop and what to shop. My friend knew where and what! and that saved a lot of time! After being done with that we went and sat in Phirangi Pani utilizing the happy hours! I am sorry to say this but that was the first time ever, that I insulted happy hours and I was not so happy about it!

After that we went to Amar Juice center and it was there that I met my life's ( till date ) best Cold Coffee. Also it was at Amar's that I ate Butter Idly and their award winning Pav Bhaji. I have had better Bhajis but the Pav part was the best, as it was soaked in butter.

Now talking about the ambiance of the place. I realize I cant talk or write about it. You gotta see and feel it on your own, but just to give you the idea please check out this -- http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=153707&id=741888582#!/photo.php?pid=3778657&id=741888582

After all this, time was for bike ride, in Mumbai, during night time. It was just plain awesome. I always use to think that yellow lights look cool in Bangalore but Mumbai experience changed my belief totally. We payed visit to Band Stand, to Juhu beach, and all those cool, traffic free, roads.

On the whole Mumbai experience was much needed experience, for my resume :

Mumbai.
City of a thousand epithets,
City of dreams
City that never sleeps……..
City of contrasts
Glittering, glitzy, glamorous
Slum infested, sweltering, sordid
Large hearted, balmy, gregarious
A tumultuous city…
Slithering snakelike along
the Arabian Sea.
Her spirit shining
Like the light of a million stars

Like a temptress of many moods
At day she is an angel, free and light.
She lets you be…. She lets you live…

by Leena Elizabeth

Where a cycle reaches faster than a car, Where everyone thinks himself to be a star
This is Mumbai my dear, but don’t fear, just cheer, come to Mumbai every year!

Confessions of a dangerous mind!

All the events ,places and characters in the story are real. Names of the real characters have been changed for obvious reasons. This story might hurt some people as it is written with that intention,so just bear with the author.

This story concerns two langotiya yaar's Mr Q (as Q comes after P) & Mr E.

before listing out the chain of events I would like to throw some light on 2 main characters involved. Mr Qis a simple, an idiot, jobless, and always confused guy.
Confuse to the state that he thinks for 10 mins before saying anything. I think you can picture what kind of person i m talking abt.

Mr E on the other hand a living proof of **Monbodo theory,a busy guy(BUSY BEING JOBLESS),a cross between Govinda & shahrukh (Chichi for his cheap humour,Hakla
for his all senti shit) , a two time rejected but however sailing his "CHOTI" "PAEDO" catamaran in hoogli river ( i think he is totally inspired by **humbert humbert), but still looking for backup. How insecure can a person be!!!but Mr Q thinks he is true at heart.I think u can picture wat kind of person i m talikng abt.

Now to begin with the story ,it all started on 20th of Feb when Mr Q reached B'lore in hope of finding some peace for his ever confused mind.He had built many Dream castles regarding this trip. But these Dreams were shattered for good the very same day.As Mr Q remeniscences Mr E was the one too comfort him saying "it is good , not for you, not for you"( since thn Mr Q is fighting hard to abrogate all his feelings, but "kya kare yeh dil hai ki manta nahin".),that time Mr Q didnt understand the meaning of these words. but occurences of the last few weeks has forced Mr Q's peanut size brain to procure some information abt Mr E as he was acting a bit weird. And by the analysis of this information, meaning of those words dawned on Mr Q.

Report giving below is based on the information procured by Mr Q from third person , fourth person ( college friend of Mr E).

Important piece of information: A "choti" "paedo" catamaran was sighted sailing from shore to shore in hoogli river , it is reportetd that its sailor has abandoned it, but not yet fully as he returns to it once in a week or so.Not as frequently as it was few weeks back.

below given is the rough schedule of Mr E

Mon -- Fri

1) Looking for the availability of two wheelers for weekend( for courting somebody to dinner), His funda is anything will do the work . Till now used wandi's are as follows :-
i) Activa (his friend's, friend's)
ii) Bike (his friend's, friends's ob not the same one..:))..)
iii) cycle (but didnt get approved , HERO ATLAS with all the frills)

2) Most of the time busy dialing some local no.

3) Rest of the time very busy (being jobless), no time for even coming online and say hi.

Sat

1) Process for getting ready for the dinner starts at 4 He enters bath room at 4 and comes out at 5 ( fourth person describes it as rubbing and scrubbing process but i dont have a clue wat is being rubbed and wat is being scrubbed ??)

2) 5 to 5:30 for getting all dressed up in govinda style.. ( i love it.. white see through lenin shirt
with two buttons from top open, a gold chain hanging )

3) From 6 onwards starts the time of waiting at FORUM ( the most happening mall in blore; food at TRANSIT is great, and chicks plenty, only one prob sutte ki dukan thodi door hai..:((..), I dont have further information about how long he has to wait; (when Mr Q tried to gather info abt this matter third person smiled and droped the topic , fourth person starts laughing his balls out)

Sun

His day starts by standing in a Q for movie tickets ,for two ,for half an hour ( As i said before BUSY BEING JOBLESS) . But hai re Mr E ki kismet it turns out he alone has to see the movie... how bad it can be :((..Mr Q ki sympathy is with Mr E.

I dont have any clue wat u guys ( people reading the story ;)) will gather from the information above ( i have special request for our consultant frnd Mr B to analyse the situation),but Mr Q did conclude somethings ( keep in mind the confused state of his mind his judgement can be prejudiced).
Mr Q has somethings to say to Mr E " Arey yaar fight mar raha hai tho atleast tell udp junta , dont be such a coy it doesnot suit you ,arey boss NOBODY IS GONNA SLAP YOU FOR THIS"

By now you can imagine how confused this fu***** idiot is i meant Mr Q is. At last Mr Q want me to end the story in this way..

** Eh tu D****!!!!!
four words from Mr Q to Mr E " U BETTER PATCH UP "

PS 1) All the criticism is welcome, but plzzz restrain from using expletives, i really dont like
them. And plzz no justification and storys.
**2) For lesser mortals like people with name Bhindi i can understand the limitation of your mortal, puerile mind.So feel free to ask me abt terms which u dont understand to get the full jocoseness of the story.
3) NO HARD FEELINGS!!!!
Some one may find some of the patterns i mean events simililar to his case he should feel free to speak ,because i think the one is laughing . yaar u can share ur feelings too . but again no hard feelings.
4) for any grammatical mistakes plzz bear with me.

FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY ( internal bole tho inside udaipurlangots :)) ..)

ISSUED IN THE INTEREST OF Mr E.

Random out-of-context quotes!

You were not put on this earth just to get in touch with God. That sort of thing coul sap all the strength and the goodness out of a chelloveck.

But,brothers, this biting of their toe-nails over the what is the cause of the badness is what turns me into fine laughing malchick. They don't go into the cause of goodness, so why other shop? If lewdies are good that's because they like it ,and i wouldn't interfere with their pleasures, an so with the other shop. And I was patronizing the other shop. More, badness is of the self, the one,the you and me on our oddy knockies, and that self is made by the old Bog or God and is his great pride and radosty. But the not-self cannot have the bad, meaning they of the governments and the judges and the school cannot allow the bad because they cannot allow the self. An is not our modern history,my brothers ,the story of brave malenky selves fighting these big machines?I am serious with you brothers ,over this. But what I do I do because I like to do.

And I made with a like deep bow, smiling like beezoomny but thinking all the time. But when we got into the street I viddied that thinking is for the gloopy ones an that the oomny ones use like inspiration and what Bog sends.

My name is KKKhan!!

My name is Karan Johar
I am not a good movie director (I am just bigger version of Ekta Kapoor)

My name is Khan
I am not an good actor ( I am a star! and Damn good business man)

My name is D
I am not a movie critic!

I liked the Movie in bits and pieces, though if I count bits and pieces they would amount to in total 15-20! I guess. These bits are all the funny dialogues, scattered through out the movie, and the pieces are the thought provoking and heart touching dialogues. Pieces also include the fabulous acting of Kajol and of the kid played the part of Sam.

Though I know its a crime to do a critical review( in terms of consistency and eye for detail) of Bollywood movie but I can't stop myself from doing this crime. I think its Ok to use name of a (Asperger's) disorder to an extent a character can play it consistently across the movie.

Khan played the part beautifully ( he does invoke a feeling of pity, though on second thoughts he always does that in all his movies starting from Darr,Bazigar,KHNH,DTPH,KANK etc.etc..) his actions and movements were consistent across the movie. But I'll find the fault with Director when he asked the character of Rizwan to cry in the end though it is claimed in the middle somewhere that Rizwan can't cry( as a result of his autism).

Director did a bad job at imitation & of plagiarism of some scenes from Forest Gump & Beautiful Mind!

Some more of research was needed in depicting Aspergers patient but I can accommodate with that.As a movie is a work of fiction but what I can't accommodate with is the lack of consistency, which is director's fault.Other example- Khan holding the yellow board ( though it can be mistake in print as well :p)

Autist's are not good at social interaction and I think they aren't good at symbolism as well. One example of symbolism is the "seene ka dard",which stops when Rizwan sees Mandira outside the prison. But I guess I am Ok with it as at some point director did clarify that due to Rizwan's mom's continuous care he is better off then others, with same syndrome. But I am afraid that it might be just by accident.

Narration could have been much better!

Apart from all "this" movie was good one time watch!

PS: - I think Khan has a knack of abusing emotions to such an extent that you can't call it even exaggeration! and I guess this ability of his makes him a Star, a heart throb or whatever!Mind you I admire Khan! but for reasons other than acting!

I hate all the actors nowadays as they use cheap marketing stunts, like being part of some political issue just before the release of their movies! I am against this propaganda! But again I think they are into business of Movie making not the Art! So I am Ok!.

But if they claim that their movies are work of art and still use such cheap marketing stunts then they are the "doosre" type ke insaan! Bure insaan!

The problem lies with the notion in my head that artists should be on some kind of higher moral ground then others around them( But I guess Anthony Burgess for sure won't agree with me on this)! This notion of mine goes for Scientists, Doctors! but of course not for present day Engineers! :P

Road less traveled!

I guess by "Road less traveled" what is implied is that don't decide on not taking a route because many say its not possible, or it's against the society, or whoever went there got mugged..

But of course the inner conviction( which again is present, but its the turmoil over that decision, the realm of right-thing-to-do and wrong-thing-to-do is a illusion by conscience, rising out of maybe the inherent feeling of grandeur future,or maybe something else )
is a pre-requisite before you march on..

Dream on!

you have traveled across the world, but if you cant accept a perspective other than yours
you have not seen the world!

you have opinion about every thing, but if you don't know that other opinions do rightfully exist
you have not felt the world!

you achieve your goal but if you believe that your way is the only way to achieve one's goal
you are not worldly wise

you know what to do but if you don't know why
you are in a Dream! enjoy it!

Nayan Tarse!

I saw you and kept seeing you...
I guess I was waiting for approval
I was waiting to get recognized
I was waiting for just a glance

Then I kept seeing you through corner of my eyes
waiting to catch you stealing a glance, but it never came

Now I wait to see you once again..
Now I wait to feel your laugh..
Now I wait to hear silence..

I am falling to new Heights!
I KKnow it will be like This always! I do.

Kachi Keri

Sense tripping!

I saw KK and there was a sudden urge to eat her
I sat talking to KK and there was a sudden urge to feel her
I heard KK's giggle and there was a sudden urge to preserve it
Seeing KK gives a taste in the mouth, wanna savor it

Addiction to KK is costly as she is princely,
comes with a bag load of lyrics and kawalies
you gotta hear her laugh to realize eternity
you gotta hear a huh! to wonder ...

Thunderbolt has struck ! M weathering with pain!
a concoction of fear and exhilaration!
a mix of acceptance and criticism!

M waiting for reality to dawn on me!

Interviewer & Interviewee

There was a time when I use to give telephonic interviews and use to wonder--Man! how can you judge! and it is now that I judge!

Mindset comparison :--

I'er* - Hey is it xyz?

I'ee - Ok. So I did by Bachelors from blah blah blah..
( hmm.. Man I am good! I have said it so many times I don't have to think about it now! I'll avoid this, and this, and this as I don't have a clue why did I write these in resume. Let me take little more time)

I'er - Wait ! Tell me about your contribution in abc project you just mentioned.
( hmm.. I know whats your contribution.. Can you really communicate and make non sense sound sensible..)

I'ee - Blah Blah Blah!

I'er - Now thats okay but whats your contribution?
( Dude Nice try! give it a shot once again..)

I'ee - Sir, thats what I am trying to explain blah blah...
( Man! he is on too my nerves! let me try again)

I'er - hmm. ok I get it. Now moving on. I have a problem for you.It should not take more than 10 mins for you to solve. Blah Blah Blah!!
( Yeah I didn't get the head and tail about your contribution. But I guess you communicate well I think you'll do a good job in letting the client know what you are communicating..or rather that I can do . You can fit well if you can solve this problem and so in future you can solve my problems rest i'll take care )

I'ee - Ok sure!
( phew! I think he understood my contribution. Good Job man! problem bring it on!! thats what I am looking for)

I'er - Thats good. thanks. HR will let you know. It was good talking to you.
( phew! Sutta time man! what a idiot!)

I'ee - Ok. looking forward to hear from you guys . Nice talking to you.
(Shit! I should have cracked that problem the other way!! Shit! now when is the call going to come, I should have asked clearly! Man for that resume question I have to prepare more, for next time! hmm.. I think I'll remove that project from my resume!! hmm wt else!!

Take away counter!

I was reading one of my friends blog where I got to read these lines --

"Be not intimidated… nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties by any pretense of politeness, delicacy, or decency. These, as they are often used, are but three different names for hypocrisy, chicanery and cowardice.”

I like it!

Life and Choices!

Choices or Opportunities!!

A close friend of mine said " you never give chance to let things stabilize".That comment just got stuck in my mind. I realized I just keep moving on! Be job! Be it my habits! Be it my personal life!
I always have reasons to move on. I switched my first job because I had ego issues. I like watching movies but I don't have a favorite or the one which I like the most or music which I like the most ( its the same thing as moving on because if you like something very much you would love to stick with it you'll remember it!) I am a person very much in "for the moment" But once the moment is gone I go to.

The reason why I am so ( let me generalize here, many of us) is there are various perceptions, wishes, images at play. You grab on choices or opportunities ( the so called decisions that we take) based on these perceptions, wishes, images.

Let me elaborate - See we all have a mental image of what we want in life ! we strive towards it all the time! our parents , relatives, colleagues etc. have that image ( for us) too !

Now just consider few who don't have the image of what exactly they want in specific area of life! for some they don't know what job they wanna do! for some they don't know whether they want money or reputation? just to trivialize a bit more some don't know whether they wanna do an MBA or a MS or clear IAS?

Now the only point I wanna make is if the person is not sure what he wants he'll act ( decide or to say makes a choice or grabs a opportunity) on behalf of other people's perceptions! Now it seems exaggerating. But i believe that we live in a world of human perceptions it s a matrix of perceptions !

And if you don't have your own(perception, wish, image) you gotta follow someone else's.

In my case I at times I follow the perceptions of my parents( in the areas I don't know what is right and what is right)! but I have to say maybe for me to stabilize for habits, jobs etc.. I have to clearly perceive what I want( very trivial statement to make but true none the less)! and I have to be part of other people's perceptions as well!

I guess thats why we say "accha karo sabke liye tho tumhare liye bhi accha hi hoga "

Work in progress!!

!!:p!!

Bahut saara gyan!! :p still refining!! still have to iron out inconsistencies.

D Traveller : McLeod Ganj!

Part II -- Trains!Cold! Valleys! and the hunt for the Fatigue Jacket

The Travelogue - I

I had a flight to Delhi on 26th Dec,though my vacations started from 24th Dec. I took a day off from office to get acclimatized to the holiday season(:p)*! I had a feeling that this year was kinda holiday for me . The reason ( for feeling that this year was kinda holiday for me) being Non Stop Action! ( again, I associate non stop action with Holiday because thats what holidays are for me-Non Stop Action) Be it office, be it home,be it my travels just non stop action!. The problem with non stop action is it makes concept of time feel irrelevant, unimportant, of no use! You look back and only thing you ask is did that happen? when? how?

My flight on 26th took me to Delhi where I met Bansal, a college friend! We enjoyed our fag and a cup of tea ! which took me down the memory lane and towards Taramani! After catching up we started looking for ear muffs and gloves! I just love the witty shopkeepers of Palika Bazaar! They are just brilliant! You can't beat them at humor! The little Punjabi touch, the glibness, the spontaneity of answers and the hard bargain! It reminded me of Oye Lucky Oye!That was one true portrayal of Delhi's local populi! The glibness!

We had 11 PM train,Delhi Udhampur express(0403), to catch from New Delhi station and Bansal had his luggage at old Delhi station. We some how managed to grab our dinner, pick the luggage up and reach on time at the New Delhi station.

I'll tell you - night journey, by train, in North India, during winters is a torture in itself! Its an art, to survive, only for people who didn't come much prepared for it ! as in the backpack will get heavy is the excuse!
Two simple rules though very effective but not sufficient - 1) Always carry bed sheet or something equivalent of it , to cover the seat.
2) Always tuck in the shirt and wear a long sleeves shirt!

The train journey till Chakki Bank was not eventful! was just filled with few spells of sleep ! and unhindered Cold! Chakki bank station is few kilometers from Pathankot and has just the essentials. I mean one counter for bookings, one counter for inquiry , one Platform, one stall.

We caught an shared auto for Pathankot. On the way we saw many army stores selling Military green color stuff. Jackets, sweaters, rucksacks, and other army gear! And suddenly my desire to possess the fatigue jacket got inflamed! My desire had support of the following feelings --
1) It( fatigue jacket) looks cool.
2) It is associated with ruggedness aka rough-N-tough
3) Points one and two again
4) last and the least - "I have a photogenic Denim Jacket with me and now I want photogenic and effective fatigue jacket"

We started looking for the jacket but didn't find any raiment which fell in line with mental image I was looking for and good material. So we moved on!

Next thing we stopped for was Palak Panner,Tandoor Roti and Onions with some kind of pickle( I should have asked what it was made of :() and lots of butter! The Palak ( Spinach) was just awesome! My taxi driver ( from Delhi airport till CP) had advised me to eat Palak on the way! As in they grow Palak in these parts alot! and for once he was right!

His other advice was to take toy train ride from Pathankot till Kangra station (90Kms) (what he didn't tell me was how much time train takes). It took us 5 hrs to travel those 90 Kms! Initially the ride was painful as in it felt like we were playing Paper dance( with all wrong crowd)! But once we got the seats it was more fun. Train meandered through scenic and magnificent valleys, hills, villages and river running all along! And how can I forgot the Orange trees, laden with Oranges. Strangely! The scene reminded me of a song Lemon tree,by Fool's garden.

" I wonder how
I wonder why
Yesterday you told me 'bout the blue blue sky
And all that I can see is just a yellow lemon-tree
I'm turning my head up and down
I'm turning turning turning turning turning around
And all that I can see is just another lemon-tree "

Strange!

Coming back, to route which has couple of tunnels as well. Tunnels come with the childish shouts! In childhood shouts were meant to gather courage ( in the face of darkness) and now shouts were meant to relive the childhood! Strange!

Now when I am writing the Experience of Toy train ride I am reminded of other toy train ride! from Udagamandalam to Coonoor! But that was different - it was about Eucalyptus trees, Green valleys, Smoke, and well kept train. We all had the space, seats to ourselves!

Next blog - Mcleod Ganj! Trek and that of New years

* I some times feel that the emoticons are like the equivalent of "Applaud", "Laugh" etc. kind of signs used during making of Sitcoms.

D Traveller : McLeod Ganj!

Part I -- #ing, trekking and dishing in mountains of McLeod Ganj!
The abode of the Lama!

Duration : 26th Dec'09 - 1st Jan'10
Ponderings of the buzzingly idle mind

1) Some are bouncing and some are echoing and yet there are some just there.

- Bad at planning! Good at make do! Good at random execution and Definitely and Always high on experience!
- In the need of crash course on budgeting.
( Though now I have few pointers
1) Book tickets in advance [ save on cash so that you can have it at the destination :p]
2) Never listen to friends :p [ they always make you toggle your plan]
3) Splurge!)

- I enjoy winters! I survived a night at 2000Mts with 5 layers of clothing in Dec!:)
- At times its pain and at times its more of fun, to travel, to a place without prior knowledge of the place
- Toy train ride with the window seat overlooking the valleys and Orange trees, ladden with oranges, is a good way to travel to mountains!
- I started to believe in Yeti yet again. According to our trekking tour guide they do exists!
- I carry a swiss knife in my back pack and yet I ask my guide to cook food and pitch the tent for us. Pretentious!
- I agree that the snaps come good if you wear Shades! but experience is the one after shedding the shades!
- Buddha lives!
- There is some thing as Height tax! the more you rise the more you have to pay ( I mean by rise in altitude :p for same cup of tea you gotta pay double)
- Is it about facebook? twitter? or about the hills ?
- Long lost friends can make you feel great!
- It gives you a refreshing perspective to be seen like maybe a mean pinchpenny cribbing fellow or maybe a goofy, unplanned fellow or maybe a Bouncer!:p
